Useful conference content keeps appearing after the last session. Speakers post slides, attendees share lessons, and recordings arrive days later. A follow-up brief keeps those sources together so marketing, sales, and community staff can decide what deserves attention.
This conference monitoring workflow collects the public follow-up without claiming complete event coverage.
SocialListeningAPI searches LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, and Google through the MCP. It returns normalized records with source URLs. Claude or ChatGPT can group the findings, while storage and repeated searches remain external.
Step 1: Build the conference monitoring query list
Collect the official and common event terms:
- Full event name and abbreviation
- Official hashtag
- Venue and city
- Headline speakers
- Session titles
- Sponsor names
event name recap,slides,recording, andtakeaways
Record the event dates. Keep broad topic searches separate from event-specific searches.
Step 2: Collect event content through the MCP
Create a SocialListeningAPI account, claim the 100 free credits, and connect the MCP to Claude or ChatGPT through OAuth.
Use one prompt for the first pass:
Search LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, and Google for the conference terms below. Return source type,
author or channel, published date, session or topic, short context, and source URL. Group official
announcements, talks, attendee notes, questions, sponsor content, and recaps. Do not infer attendance
from a name match.
One query across these five sources costs up to 6 credits. LinkedIn costs 2 and each other successful search costs 1.
Step 3: Build the external source pack
Store each unique URL with its query, platform, person, company, topic, and first-seen time. An external scheduler can repeat the searches for one or two weeks after the event. Deduplicate URLs in the external sheet or database.
SocialListeningAPI performs public search. It does not provide event attendance data, scheduling, contact enrichment, CRM updates, or content rights.
Step 4: Write the follow-up brief
Create three outputs from verified sources:
- A short recap of repeated themes and disagreements.
- A list of people or companies worth researching, with the post that explains why.
- A backlog of talks, questions, and examples that may support original content.
Watch the source before quoting a speaker. Link to the original and do not copy slides, transcripts, or creator work without permission.
Conclusion
The finished brief should show what was discussed, who supplied each point, and which follow-up is worth doing. Leave generic hashtag matches and unverified attendance claims out.
